1. Who we are
Monkmod (“we”, “us”) is a productivity app available at monkmod.com. We help individuals manage tasks, projects, and focus sessions.
2. What data we collect
- Account data — email address and password (hashed) when you sign up.
- App data — tasks, projects, notes, and freewrite entries you create.
- Google data — if you connect Google, we access your Google Calendar events and Google Sheets. We store an encrypted refresh token to maintain the connection. We never store your Google credentials.
- Usage data — basic analytics (page views, feature usage) to improve the product.
3. How we use your data
- To provide and improve the Monkmod service.
- To power AI features (task suggestions, calendar briefs) — prompts are sent to third-party AI providers (Groq, Google Gemini) and are not stored by us.
- To sync with Google Calendar and Google Sheets when you explicitly enable the integration.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
4. Google integration
When you connect your Google account, Monkmod requests access to:
- Google Calendar (read and write events, create Google Meet links)
- Google Sheets (create and write spreadsheets for task exports)
We only access your Google data when you explicitly trigger an action in the app. You can disconnect Google at any time from Settings → Integrations, which immediately deletes your stored token.
Monkmod's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Data storage and security
- Data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on secure cloud infrastructure.
- Google refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256.
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
6. Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. We will delete all your personal data within 30 days. Disconnecting Google removes your Google token immediately.
7. Third-party services
Monkmod uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — database and authentication
- Groq / Google Gemini — AI text generation
- Google APIs — Calendar and Sheets integration
- Vercel — hosting and deployment
